Warlands

So a local player (TinmanXL) got me into Warlands, having an ample collection of Hotwheels at my disposal, I figured why the hell not? So behold!

Sorry for the lack of updates, kinda been in a lull lately getting some commisions out of the way.


Some of the local players however are looking into getting into Warlands, so after a bit of searching I managed to pick up some Hotwheels and Matchbox cars. I think that this game is quite possibly the cheapest wargame you can get into. 10 bucks or so for vehicles, infantry are a bit more tricky, but if you have access to Memoir 44 infantry figures then use them as they are about the right scale.

Hiatus

Net is down at my place so I am limited to when I can update stuff, will have new pictures up here soonish I hope.

With that said, trying to get a Mordheim game going again, hope I can get a few players this time around.

Turned out pretty good for a few days worth of work. Doug of Miniature Rules fame was kind enough to supply his mechs and studio for taking pictures. Not finished with these yet as I need to go through, give them personality and finish up some highlights. Will be making some more stuff in BT scale in the future

Used a Mageknight figure and a Mechwarrior clicky base for the statue, she was holding a knife but I decided to stick with the shot up wrecked city theme and cut it off and gave some weathering, need to go back over the figure and give it a good green wash after another highlight to make it pop, oh yeah and some bird crap on the head/shoulders

Worktroll claims he lost it, but it was a winner of the double secret probation entry catagory

Turned out better than I expected, finished up the first part of the terrain peice over at a buddys house durring an impromptu painting day.

Got my Mordheim warband started, going for a green blue with a bit of a turqoise blue color scheme. So far the models are looking very flashy, in a subdued manner if that makes any sense. And working on a few more comisions for gas and food money.

Skaven minis from the Warhammer Fantasy newest boxed set, which I doubt I will ever play, but they make great Mordheim warband leaders.

Iron Painter Winning Figure

Shadow Dragon, now that I got him back I intend to go about and do final clean up, get all the flocking that stuck to the matte finish (I had him done in 4 hours) and go back over all the areas I missed when I did paint it. Camera batterys are dead so I apologize for the crappy lighting

Stuff

Sorry I havnt been active lately, work and life in general are keeping me busy, but I have been painting and making terrain! So heres what Ive gotten thus far.

Took part in an Iron Painter with the host of Steampowered TV and various other awesome people, did very well and should have pictures of the model I painted for it up some time soonish.

This is one of the extra figures I didnt decide to go with, after painting this at home the wings just were not popping and working for me, will figure out what I need to do for it soonish.

Wanting to play Mordheim and you need some proper ruins to fight over in that game. Thanks to Steve and Todd I managed to aquire a crap-ton of foamcore and insulation foam. Here is one of the peices I am building right now
